Breville JE95XL Two-Speed Juice Fountain Plus

Comment: I have read a few negative reviews regarding this juicer and it's as simple as this: either there was an issue right out of the box or the people didn't read the manual.

Reading the manual for this juicer is 100% key to getting the most out of it. There are specific directions on what types of fruits and veggies and at what speeds to juice them at...also important are the directions on cleaning the juicer, especially the basket - to make sure it juices effectively. It's super easy to clean and even easier if you use hot water and rinse it immediately after juicing.

I'm still on my original basket from 2 and half years ago and it's still going great for carrots, kale, lemons, whole apples, and more.

I have also bought two of these as gifts refurbished. One of them came with a bent basket (which created heavy vibrations an wobbling) and Breville promptly replaced it for me for free.

There have been some great juices I have made from this thing, but the absolute BEST has been juicing some watermelon and pineapple and then adding tequila. You won't have a better summer cocktail ever.

Comment: I have had this juicer for several weeks now, and I love it. I had a less expensive juicer that didn't fall into this class of juicer for years beforehand and did not use it often as it was not very user friendly. When I decided to do a juice fast the book I was reading said what to look for in a juicer- multiple speeds, large feed in tube... This machine fit everything I needed w/out being too expensive. It is fairly easy to disassemble and clean after use, it did not require I read some lengthy manual.

It has two speeds, low is for juicing soft foods like leafy greens, pears, citrus, and high for other fruits and vegetables. Someone mentioned it sounds like a jet plane taking off when turned on to high, I agree. Juicers are not quiet, but I quite enjoy the benefits I am getting out of it.

Comment: Excellent juicer. Made a wise decision. Have been juicing carrots and apples daily and feel great healthwise. I should have bought one much earlier.

Comment: My Breville JE95XL has sort of changed my life. I have almost always squeezed fresh orange juice every morning, but oh my, what a difference with this juicer. I live in Hawaii, so I have many wonderful fresh,organic fruits and vegetables available all the time. Now I make these amazing concoctions that feel like instant vitamin injections. My favorite is a combo of oranges, tangelos, papaya, carrot, ginger and sometimes I add kale and/or pineapple. The possibilities are endless and the clean up with this machine is quick and easy...always a good thing in a juicer.

Comment: This is a great juicer! I have never juiced before but I am really happy I started. This machine seems great so far. It is super fast and easy to lock into place. The two settings are great, use the low for lettuces and softer veggies/fruits.
I would suggest cleaning fairly quickly after using, otherwise it the pulp/juice gets dry and hard to get off.

It does take about 5 minutes to thoroughly clean by hand. However, you can wash the parts in the dishwasher but I would rinse before so the juice doesn't dry on the inside. My recommendation would be to make a large amount of juice in one setting so you don't have to keep cleaning it throughout the day. Just drink it within 24 hours of refrigerating. The pitcher it comes with is great to just stick in the fridge to keep the left overs!
