Summary: Works great for me 2008-10-01
Comment: Ok, I bought this juicer at Target today. It was either this one or Jack L. I chose this one because it was cheaper and the motor was better. I juiced raspberries, apples and ginger so far with great results. I think it is easy to clean and use. I couldn't believe how much juice was in the ginger. I also juiced about 3 apples and got an entire large glass of apple juice. I am very pleased so far.

Summary: Good juicer for beginners 2008-08-21
Comment: I have had this juicer almost 6 months now. I use it once a week and overall I am very happy with it.
Pros: Cheap. Works.
Cons: All plastic. Plastic becomes discolored and nasty looking after awhile no matter how many times you clean it. The metal strainer/blade is becoming slightly rusted. The middle strainer thing is nearly impossible to disconnect from the unit to clean. You really have to be a body builder to get this thing off. Every time I take it off I think I'm going to break it.
Overall: Get this juicer as your first juicer. Then after a year If you're still into juicing upgrade to a better one.

Summary: hate this juicer! 2008-05-02
Comment: I must say that I totally disagree with universalradio. I am sorry to see how many people were swayed by that review. I, too, have owned and used almost every day for months both the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and the Juiceman Jr. I have the opposite opinion of the two juicers. I had to leave behind my Power Juicer when I moved, so replaced it with the Juiceman Jr. What a mistake!!! The Juiceman Jr. is so inferior to the Power Juicer! The Juiceman Jr. is difficult to assemble and disassemble, you can't empty the pulp container without taking it completely apart, often the veggies or fruits being juiced get stuck in on top of the blade assembly and you have to push really hard to get them to juice, it puts out less juice than the Power Juicer, the basket often gets off balance and rubs on the plastic housing causing it to make awful noises and burn the plastic so that it smokes. The design of this juicer is not a good one! I finally broke down and bought another Power Juicer off e-Bay. Good decision!!!! Please, don't buy this juicer, it is a waste of money!

Summary: Good basic juicer 2008-04-16
Comment: I did a lot of comparison shopping online before I got this. I chose this over a Breville because of a fantastic deal at store that I got by combining a sale price with a percentage off coupon. I decided I would rather invest less initially since I am unsure how much I will use the juicer.
This is a great juicer to start out with. It's powerful and produces very smooth juice with little to no pulp. The instruction booklet was helpful in explaining how to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. A brush is included for cleaning the mesh basket. It takes a bit of work to really get the basket clean, but I would assume that any juicer would have this issue - juicing can be messy. No juice recipes are included unlike several other brands I considered, but you can easily find recipes online for free.

Summary: A great investment for my family 2008-03-20
Comment: My family really enjoys fresh juice, so after careful review and lots of shopping, I finally decided to buy the Juiceman Jr. I have to say I am very pleased with the juicer. I get lots of juice for the amount of fruit and/or vegetables. The only thing I don't like about it is all the different parts that have to be cleaned after each use. Other than that, it's a great deal and good juicer.
