Squeezes out the competition,

This review is from: Omega 8002 Nutrition Center (Kitchen)
I bought the Omega 8002 Juicer on the recommendation of Dr. Joseph Mercola, a holistic health MD who has a popular newsletter and website. We met him at a health fair, tried vegetable juices (including wheatgrass juice) and realized that juicing was a great way to incorporate more vegetables into our diet. I mean, how much broccoli and salad can one person pound down in a day? Not so much.
The Omega 8002 is a single gear machine that turns at a low 80 RPMs, a powerful, slow auger that doesn't heat up the food or cause the juice to foam. This protects the nutritional content of the juice from degradation. In addition, it is "multifunctional"--the juicer can also be employed to make baby food, meat pate, nut butter, or fine ground coffee. The machine is durable, said to be quiet, and has a 10-year guarantee. Sounds good, so we plunked down the cash and got the Omega juicer and set to work.
So, how is it to USE the Omega? Well, it's EASY to put together, though...Read more

Great juicer,

I've been juicing for 25 years and have owned a number of juicers through those years. These include champion, Acme, Juiceman, and a number of other less-expensive juicers.
Most juicers, operate on a principal that tears the fruit or vegetable apart and then using high velocity centrifugal force, spin-separates the juice from the pulp.
This Omega 8002 juicer uses a different principal. It uses a low velocity pressing motion that produces a better quality of juice, with less noise and less heat.
You can absolutely tell the difference in the juice quality with this juicer, especially softer fruits such as citrus that creates an enormous amount of foam with the high velocity models.
The only thing about this juicer that might not be to your liking (depending on your point of view) is some of the juicer is that have come out within the last few years have very large input hopper mouths (Jack LaLanne etc.). The Omega 8002 juicer has a small...Read more

This is my first juice after researching a long time to get the best juicer that would last long. I finally decided to get this one (well, actually I got the newer model - 8005) - and can't be happier ! This juicer has 10 years warranty. I juice almost every day - from combination of (I usually have 5 kinds at a time) carrots, beets, collard, kale, brocolli, spinach, celery, cilantro and apples. Being a picky eater, I use cilantro and apples to make the taste yummy... ! The juicer does not disappoint me a bit - in fact my husband commented that finally we purchase something that is well-worth since we use it almost every day ! The 8005 series is easier to hook up
and to clean - and the pulp is pretty dry. Even a friend of mine who is into juicing is amazed to see how dry the pulp is.
4 years later - this juicer is amazing, still works very well. No wonder they give 10 year warranty - this thing is tough !!!
