Product Description
Simple to operate and easy to clean, this Orange X mechanical device quickly and easily presses juice from all citrus fruits. It's made of enameled iron so it's heavy and stable and has suction feet for further insurance against sliding during use. A three-step process--lifting the handle, placing half a fruit on the conical strainer, pulling the lever--is all that's needed to produce a flow of juice into a container on the cup rest beneath the juicer's head. The strainer and basket are made of 18/10 stainless steel. Like the plastic cup rest and the cone that presses against the top of a fruit, the strainer and basket remove with a twist and are dishwasher-safe. The housing wipes clean with a damp cloth. Shapely and compact, the juicer measures 10 inches high, 8 inches wide (including the handle with its rubber grip), and 11 inches deep (including the handle). It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. Lifetime warranty against defects Quickly, easily presses juice from all citrus fruits Simple to operate, easy to clean Dishwasher-safe removable parts Heavy, stable: made of enameled iron, with suction feet Amazon.com Review
An award-winning study in mechanical design, this juicer is just too cool to hide away in a cupboard. Made of very heavy enameled cast iron with suction cup feet for added stability, the retro juicer works on the principle of leverage: raise the arm to insert the citrus half, lower it to press out the juice. This machine extracts juice completely from all citrus fruits, whether small limes or large grapefruits. A rubber coating adds grip to the contoured arm, and a removable plastic base holds a bowl, glass, or short pitcher (not included). The highly polished 18/10 stainless-steel fruit holder and strainer are easily removed for cleaning and are dishwasher-safe. While the juicer works in a simple manner, it does require some strength to push up and down on the arm. A seven-year warranty covers this juicer, an indication of just how sturdy it is. When the arm is folded in for storage, the juicer measures 11 by 10-1/2 by 8 inches. --Ann Bieri

Summary: broken upon arrival 2005-12-18
Comment: This item looks like it would be a great juicer. The only problem I see, is that, it is shipped in its origonal box. The unit is heavy cast iron(nice). The box took forever to open, because it was covered in tape to keep it together. When I pulled the unit out, the cast base was broken. With return policies, I will never get another one in time for Christmas. The seller should package the unit in a padded box.

Summary: It works but it leaves unsqeezed pulp behind. 2004-06-03
Comment: This review applies to any color Ojex household juicer. The March 14 review titled "not for the weak or shaky" found under the same juicer but in the color white is correct. I would add that among other bad features, the paint is being slowly ground off the hinge and this paint dust may get in your juice. This is the second juicer I have owned and I still own an electric made by Krups. The Ojex juicer leaves unsqueezed pulp behind that does not happen with the electric. Also, the peel is squeezed along with the pulp so your juice gets the bitter orange oil in it. This is not an issue with the electric. This juicer opens up just barely far enough to accept half an orange. I tried to get a half a grapefruit in there but it wasn't easy. All these bad features aside, I still use it and find it slightly more convenient than the electric. The product works but it is badly designed...just not badly enough to throw it out.
