I've had mine for a couple of years now and use it for onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, and etc, anything that I need to dice. I've learned that you need to cut the food in small enough pieces before putting in the unit that they don't spread and interfere with the blades. That's not a big deal at all. I've also learned to give it a quick, firm chop. Once you get it down, you'll never want to be without it again.
The only downside is that, even with the little tool provided, it's a bit of a pain to get all the scraps out of the chopper, but that's okay.
