Summary: Simply Wonderful 2008-12-30
Comment: I have four fifty foot grapefruit trees in my yard and I needed a juicer that was capable of handling large fruit and a motor powerful enough to handle the job at hand.
I use it so often that I was afraid that it would end up as a permanent fixture on my counter top, but I found it easy to make room for it in the cabinet when I needed the extra space. Its so much easier to clean than the small juicers that I've gone through from Wal-Mart, but the tiny metal lip that controls the flow is delicate and needs some TLC.
It has a good strong motor and its heavy enough to stay in place when the juice is being extracted. I tried the Cuisinart juicer but once you push down on the grapefruit, the grapefruit stays in place but the juicer spun around and blasted juice 360 degrees all around my kitchen!! I returned it immediately and looked long and hard to find this fabulous juicer. It comes with a universal cone so even the smallest lemons or limes can be juiced as well as the grapefruit!!
